Our Vision

You can make the blankets any way you like, but we have generally used three methods:
1.  Serger Method - This is the quickest way.  We take two pieces of flannel, one solid, one print and serge them wrong sides together. We make them 36" X 45".   Corners can be pointed or rounded.

2.  Sewing Machine Method - You place two pieces of fabric 36" X 45" right sides together.  Sew around leaving an opening large enough to turn the blanket.  Turn right side out and top stich.  Corners can be pointed or rounded.

3.  Receiving Blanket Method - We have one lady that likes to make a single blanket with mitered corners.  She top stitches with a zig zag.
Embroidery:  Lack of an embroidery machine should not hinder you from making Blessing Blankets.  However, embroidery does make a lasting impression on the blanket that lasts longer than the card.  We embroider "Wrapped in Jesus' Love" on most of them or embroider a cross if it is going overseas to orphanages that don't speak English.
